CG Connected Geek Repair Tool support@connectedgeek.net

Find out what is wrong with your computer

A free diagnostic you run yourself, on Windows, Mac or Linux. It checks your disk, memory, network and security software, then shows you what it found. If you want a technician to look at it, you can send the results to us in one click.

No account. No installation. Nothing runs in the background afterwards.

1

Download and run it

One file. It asks for administrator permission once, so it can read your disk and network settings, then opens in your browser.

2

See what it finds

Disk health and free space, memory, network and DNS settings, security software status, and recent system errors. Everything stays on your computer.

3

Send it to us, if you want

Enter your session code, read exactly what is collected, and tick the box. We get the report and open a support ticket. You are never obliged to send anything.

Quick connection check

This runs in your browser right now, with nothing to download. It only sees what any website can see, so it tells you about your connection, not your computer's health. It is not a diagnostic. For that, use the tool.

Get the tool

Pick your operating system. The download is a single file that needs no installer.

Downloads are not open yet. The tool is built and working, but it is not code-signed. Until it is, Windows and macOS would warn you that it comes from an unidentified developer, and we are not asking anyone to click past a security warning. Signing is in progress. Ask us for early access if you need it now.

Have a session code?

If a Connected Geek technician gave you a six-character code, enter it in the tool when it asks. If you do not have one, request it here and we will email it to you.

We use your email only to send the code and to reply about this computer. See our Privacy Policy.

What the tool does and does not do

It reads

  • Make, model, operating system version and memory
  • Disk health, capacity and free space
  • Network configuration, including IP and DNS settings
  • Security software status and when it last updated
  • Recent system error events

It never touches

  • Your files, documents, photos or email
  • Passwords, browser history, cookies or saved logins
  • Anything you type into other applications
  • Your computer after it closes. It installs no service and leaves nothing running

The tool shows you the exact wording of what is collected before anything is sent, and nothing is sent unless you tick the box. See our Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions.
